Dr. Jack Tan | DMD
Dr. Jack Tan earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2012 from the University of Montreal, where he was born. He also completed a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, and has provided care at several First Nations communities in the Northwest Territories. Dr. Tan is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin.

Committed to delivering the highest quality dental care, Dr. Tan focuses on patient comfort and long-term oral health. Outside the clinic, he enjoys travelling and playing badminton.
Dr. Sung Hwang | DMD
Originally from the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Dr. Sung Hwang speaks English, French, and Korean fluently. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Montreal in 2012. He completed two summer internships at the Mental Health Institute of Montreal, where he developed expertise in treating anxious patients. Since moving to Fort McMurray, he has been practicing at Signal Road Dental Centre and regularly attends national and international conferences to stay current in dentistry.

Dr. Hwang is a proud member of the Alberta Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors.
Dr. David Hu | DMD
Dr. David Hu grew up right here in Fort McMurray, where he attended Westwood High School and was an active member of the Mantas Swim Club. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Saskatchewan.
Now practicing in his hometown, Dr. Hu is proud to be giving back to the community that helped shape him. Fluent in both English and Chinese, he is passionate about delivering patient-centred dental care that is approachable, thorough, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hu enjoys running, backcountry camping, and travelling. A lifelong adventurer, he’s even stood at the meeting point of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates—a reminder of his love for exploring new horizons.
Dr. Hu is committed to helping families in Fort McMurray achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles for years to come.
